Hug a Blogger Today: CanuckFlack Combines Wit, Wisdom and Occasional Weirdness
I spend a lot of time in my RSS feed reader, checking on the latest updates from about 527 different blogs and news sources.
But old school blog reading means you go and visit the actual website, see the site design, notice the comments, and maybe click on the About link, if you’re curious about the writer.
So today I spent a few minutes reading one of the first PR blogs I started reading: Colin McKay’s CanuckFlack. I’m sharing a couple of his latest posts. But don’t take my word for it. Visit his site. Or visit another blog you haven’t dropped in on in a while.
Leave a comment. Let the blogger know their countless hours of effort have an effect on you. Hug a blogger today.
- Colin picks up some good tidbits from Noodlepie, including one that compares journalists to folks who hang outside the pub (the Internet) taking a smoking break, and only nip in to see what’s happening when there’s a loud argument or a fight.
- He touches on the fall-out from the embarrassing FEMA fake news conference.
- He shows off a short Flash info piece, alerting consumers about the extent to which social networking sites can use and abuse personal information.
There’s lots more worth reading. For his 20 interesting posts in the past two weeks, Colin deserves this hug.
And every good hug deserves a spank: Colin, put your freakin’ name somewhere far, far above the bottom of your home page!
Now, who haven’t you hugged lately?

Colin: I don’t know what they’re putting in the water in Ottawa, but it seems to be doing wonders. Thanks for making my blog reading so entertaining and worthwhile!
