Worth reading:
Josh Morgan gets annoyed by the knee-jerk reaction that if positive reviews are influenced by public relations work, the reviews were paid for. Except in extremely rare cases, it’s usually just good facilitation.
Brendan Cooper explains the metrics behind his monthly ranking of PR blogs, and in the comments, explains why John Wagner’s excellent On Message blog continues to rank highly, despite no recent postings.
Kami Huyse mentions the PRSA’s workshop for FEMA PR people about ethics in public relations. A good step for both organizations.
Alice Marshall notes that providing some link love can open doors for public relations people wanting to get the attention of reporters. It’s just human nature.
Melcrum’s Kelly Dyer comments on a For Immediate Release interview about a company that encourages its staff to log on and use Facebook while at work. They cite improved connections between employees as a plus.
And while we’re talking about For Immediate Release, Shel Holtz and Neville Hobson released their 300th edition of one of the best business podcasts around.
