What I Want to See in 2008
I’m almost done with the lists and wrap-ups. Now a short post on what I’m looking forward to (personally, professionally and worldwide) in 2008.
Less intolerance.- Less focus on gadgets and more emphasis on usefulness.
- Creative uses of existing tools and new tools, with lots of cross-pollination.
- Better business practices all round (that includes in developing countries).
- More smart young people with enthusiasm and pride.
- A post-Bush America that knows how to conduct diplomacy, not brinksmanship.
- Less stress.
- Smarter video, in any format, on any platform.
- Better ways to bootstrap ethical entrepreneurs in developing countries.
- Politicians who are willing to admit they make mistakes, without being wimpy about it.
- Stronger relationships with my family, friends, peers, readers and fellow travelers.
- A smooth golf swing.
- Happy, healthy kids.
May your new year be a good one!

Wow, Eric. An impressive post/list. I think I’d like to take some of yours and adapt them to my own personal/professional list. That is, if you don’t mind!
I’d also like to see impressive young folks and the healthy, happy kids one too.

Thanks, Bridget. Be my guest in adapting for your own uses.
I forgot to add a Stanley Cup for the Vancouver Canucks. Maybe it’s not meant to be…

I’d like to see a post-Bush America, too, but the next inauguration day is not until 2009…

True. But the seed will be planted this year, Allan. Unless Jed Bush makes a wild, last-minute run for higher office, there will be some sort of post-Bush scenario playing out. I hope it’s one that is headed in a better direction.
